My name is Derrick Riley, I am the founder of 2L2A; I am a combat Veteran "Operation Enduring Freedom"of the United States Marine Corps...

As a unit we upheld our mission in Afghanistan like any other unit would. We lost a lot of Men on the Battlefield. Once home most of us if not all carried a great deal of guilt.

Some stayed in and others moved on and away from the Corps. Leaving the Corps was a challenge, you meet some of the most amazing individuals of a lifetime. You never forget those type of people.

As time passed on, you have memories and wonder how your buddies are then out of nowhere you get a phone call at 2 am. Like wild fire someone passed. It’s heart breaking. Then another, and another and another. Its like a nightmare relived over and over…

We as a society need to help our Veterans who unthinkably protect our Nation and stand tall at any and all costs…
